Max Weber.

He is a german sociologist. Born in Erfurt Prusia in 1864. Max Weber was the son of a lawyer and prominent politician of the Liberal Party. He studied at the universities of Heidelberg, Berlin and Gottingen. He had special interest in law, history and economics. In 1909 he founded the German Sociological Association. It was a great innovator in the social sciences in several respects, including the methodology: unlike the pioneers of sociology, Weber understood that the method of these disciplines could not be a mere imitation of those used by natural science, since social issues that involve individuals of conscience and intentions will be understood.
His work in social sciences:
Proposed the method of ideal types, subjective categories that describe the intent of the social partners through extreme cases, pure and free from ambiguity, but such cases never happened before in reality; Weber thus laid the foundations of the method of work modern sociology, and all the social sciences, based on building theoretical models that focus the analysis and discussion on rigorous concepts.
I like his work because of the great influence he had on the development of social sciences, including the science of management. He pioneered the field of social sciences. Great theorist of bureaucracy.Their influence is so important today, which is essential reference for any student interested in social research methods.
